Snowy egrets and Great egrets can often be found in the late spring and summer months at Tod’s Point. On this morning I saw close to two dozen of them in an interior salt pond, probably attracted by a bountiful harvest of small fish left behind by the tide or the small fiddler crabs that live in the mud there.
